Santaferia from Chile for the first time in Berlin! The danceable hurricane at SO36! Santaferia, is an eleven-piece band from Santiago, Chile. Their music has been characterized as a combination of cumbia, salsa, dub, Afro-Latin rhythms and folklore of the Andes. They occupy an important place in the Chilean music scene, tracing their beginnings back to winter 2006. The band members have been playing together continuously since the release of their debut album, which makes them not only a band, but also a musical family. The energy they bring to the stage earned their shows the nickname “danceable hurricane,” with seven albums to date: five studio and two live albums, with more than twenty singles and a video documentary about the band’s history. In their national and international tours they have shared the stage with B Real, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Orishas, Skatalites and many more. Support by Selektor Bony
